DW Studio is proud to announce we have been shortlisted for an Animago 'Best of 2017' Award. The animation award recognised the high quality of our CGI visualisation of Antlion Audio’s boom microphone, the ModMic 5. Entries from 58 countries in the areas of 3D animation, visual effects, visualisation and design applied from all of the world.
The CGI video aimed to be eye-catching, fun, inspiring and bold, whilst displaying USP’s in an engaging way. Stylish product close-ups and slick animations helped push boundaries and stick in the audiences’ mind. Clever perspective-led annotations and graphics interact with the product.
Creative Director David Wiffen commented, "The project really required a focused approach and as the turnaround deadline was so tight, the team really came together to deliver. It's great that this project has been recognised for an award."
Animago’s highly-qualified jury, which is presented by prominent representatives from all areas of media production and media communication nominated the production (which can be seen on our project pages here). The winner of the coveted animago AWARD will be announced on 7 September in Munich´s Culture Center GASTEIG. This industry event of the creative community offers a great opportunity to meet other nominees and exchange ideas and views.
Other categories included Best Visual Effects, where popular TV series ‘Game of Thrones’ were shortlisted for VFX by Pixomondo, along with VFX by Rodeo FX for JK Rowling’s ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.
As well as being invited to the event in Munich, DW Studio were also interviewed for a special addition of Animago’s magazine as shortlisted nominees. DW studio would like to wish all the other nominees our congratulations and the best of luck in the awards.
