DW Studio  partnered with McMurtry Automotive to produce a series of launch-ready images for the McMurtry Spéirling PURE. The brief required a new steering wheel design, which existed only as CAD data, to feature seamlessly within real-life cockpit photography.
We worked closely with the team to support the photography process, helping to ensure the lighting, angles and physical cockpit provided the strongest possible foundation for the CGI integration. The new steering wheel was then prepared from the supplied CAD, textured, lit and rendered to precisely match each photographic plate.
Every detail, from reflections and material response to contact shadows and colour balance, was carefully composited and retouched to create a completely natural result. The final images combine real-life automotive photography with a CG steering wheel, allowing McMurtry to showcase the latest design before a physical version was available.
Working to a fast-moving deadline, DW Studio delivered three final 8K images in just three days, helping McMurtry meet its required launch schedule without compromising on realism or quality.
