We were approached by Marine Max to create a dramatic and eye-catching video for the new 500 Fly. This video would act as a marketing tool to introduce this unique yacht, and Marine Max's new partnetship with Galeon Yachts to the US marine market.
Working closely with Spark, the team responsible for Marine Max's marketing campaign, we began to develop a concept and story behind the unveiling of this unique and ground-breaking design. We wished to celebrate Galeon's breakaway from traditional yacht design with a visually pleasing metaphor and allow the 500 Fly to literally 'break the mould'.
Utilising the production CAD model, we rebuilt the entire 500 Fly from ground up. This provided us with an efficient model to work with and animate. This also allowed us the flexibility to remove any identifiable features of the yacht to create the 'mould' which could then be broken up into thousands of simulated fragments.
The video teaser has since gone on to win an American Advertising Award from the American Advertising Federation of Florida, earning a Gold ‘Addy’ in the category of Online Film, Video, Sound, and Sales Presentation.
