Network Rail / Preston to Blackpool

Network Rail directly approached and commissioned DW Studio to create a public film to visually communicate their electrification process on the Preston to Blackpool line. Using a variety of CGI techniques, DW Studio visually contextualised the key aspects of the electrification works by combining CGI graphics with live action footage shot from the front of the train - travelling the entire route of the line. To further demonstrate specifically affected locations, complete CGI scenes were created and visually matched to the footage. This allowed the camera to move beyond the limitations of the live action footage and clearly communicate Network Rail's planned electrification works.
